A software development company I worked for required a centralised view on project status and resource allocation. Microsoft Project Server was chosen as the company already employed several MS infrastructure and competitors failed to compete either in price or feature. As project manager I outlined the concept, coordindated external support, internal IT, training and ongoing support. It allowed senior management to evaluate each resource and project on a weekly basis and allowed for quick adaption.
